Reflection 5/27/2025

Today I learnt specifically a lot about defragmentation and localizing information in order to speed up the retrieving process of information. I think I actually might do this to my own computer at home, after all, I do use a hard drive when working on my music DAWs. I am really excited for the hands on aspect of this j-term. Specifically, I love soldering, im really good at it. I am slightly intimidated by the failure in the course. Final thought: Im sorry about the breaking of the disk. As I was taking it apart It happened out of nowhere.

Reflection 5/28/2025

Today, I made a slides presentation on how to actually build a computer, a slides presentation on what defragmentation is and the importance of choosing the right case. I really understand now the importance of each part. additionally, I used an online theoretical computer builder to make my very own computer for myself (no price limit) and for my theoretical uncle who needed a computer for his fantasy football team.

Building Reflection

Today we actually built our computer! following our manual closely, while allowing room for our creativity to solve problems given by ambiguous directions. There were several moments of confusion with all of the wires, but we actually got the build completely right on our first try with the fans starting and the computer starting aswell!
